Candy Shoppe Designs

Happy November girls, It's really fall now and I can't wait to play with all the fun fall lines coming. And what better way to get that mojo going than with some good old fashioned challenges. Well, sort of :)
I am so pleased to announce that I am one of the newest members of Candy Shoppe Designs, yes you heard it right. I am a lollipop girl!! Yummy! And what better way to announce the news than with a brand new challenge.

Candy shoppe has two challenges a month. One on the first of course, and
the other on the 15th. Here is the Nov 1st challenge.

Animal Print:

Create a project using Animal print in anyway that inspires you. Or use animals on your layout.

And here is my take on the challenge.

I decided to go Hybrid. I have always been strickly a paper scrapper, and I adore my glue, paper, and scissors. But I came across Kitschy Digitals Blog and fell in love. I found the woodland collection and knew I wanted to give hybrid a try. I bought 3 of the digi kits and can't wait to use the other two. Isn't my little dear just so cute. She's adorable with her flower on her head :)

Our sponsor this month is Blue Moon Scrapbooking. Be sure to check them out, they have all the latest and greatest goodies.

We hope to see you play along with us for this challenge. Click here for more details

Hey ladies, hope all is well. And you had a great weekend. I did, had the opportunity to shoot some scrappy friends, can't wait to share with you all the cute pics.

I also wanted to take this time to congratulate a really good friend. She is amazingly talented, and oh so cool. She may be relocating soon, but it doesn't matter where she goes I'll always support her.

when we first met it was at my local scrapbook store Scrappers Boutique. She made me laugh so hard because she said that Leslie Ashe and I were scrappy celebrities to her. How funny!! What she doesn't know is how much SHE inspires ME. Her work is stunning. So, CONGRATS to my friend Steph C one of the newest and most talented Design Team members of Twisted Sketches card team.
And here is her stunning card using the sketch :) Be sure to stop by and check out the other amazing girls as well and this weeks card sketch!!

Some MLS Fun

Hey girls, good day to you!

I want to say thank you to all of you ladies who took the time to encourage me and leave me your honest opinions. I truely appreciate it, and you've helped me in ways you'll never know.

Today I have a super fun project to share with you created with the Sunday Market Line by My Little Shoebox. This line is so beautiful, it's full of energy, and possibilities. And the stamps couldn't be more perfect so be sure to get yourself some of those. And did you know Scrapbook.com is finally carrying MLS products, YAY!! It took them forever but they finally got the memo :)

This is Miss Bailey again, at our local water park. There is a bucket of water that turns over every few seconds, and she stood right underneath it to get wet. She wasn't to sure of how she felt about it after it happened but it was fun to watch.

OUT FOR PUBLICATION

Thanks for stopping by and letting me share.

Being Transparent

Hey girls, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend full of fun and family.

I had a great weekend, busy as always with games, & family functions. But I did get to squeeze some scrappy time in. Steven took Friday off and we had some well needed family time with the kids. We went to putt putt, and bowled, had dinner at our favorite family spot (Cheddars). So it was a really cool weekend :)

When I started scrapping 2 1/2 years ago I started merely for the love of the photos. There was something about seeing the many photos of my son that I just wanted to hold onto FOREVER. I said to my hubbby i am gonna try and scrapbook, and he smiled as if to say SURE (we''' see how long that last). Well here we are almost 3 years down the line and I have fallen in love. In love with the Art, you girls know-- the paper, the glue, the paint, the everything. But as much as I love this hobby, now life style, I love photography even more.

With that said I want nothing more than to start my own photography business. But I have so much to learn. I know nothing, everything I have learned has been self taught. I read blogs, and play with my camera settings, and make my family entertain me. I have joined clickin Moms, and a flickr group. I have tried to find a mentor in the state of Texas willing to take me under their wings and teach me the business and let me shadow them. But, I run into the "I don't have time comment".
The best advice I have been given was to keep trying and study, study, study. So that is what I plan on doing. I will just keep teaching myself.

I was asked by a friend to shoot her and her family, she asked me to name my price. As an beginner I said $100, which would included all the photos taken that day and up to two locations. She said that was to much. So naturally I wondered is that to much and is my work worth atleast that much. So I want you ladies to give me your honest opinion. What do you think? Here are a few photos taken of my family, and friends. I have alot more equipment to buy and things to learn. But please let me know what you think?

I want the opportunity to capture someone elses memories.

Thanks girls for your honesty in advance :)

P.S to all of you scrappers--- yes I will be scrapping these photos ,lol :)

Here is a layout to lighten up this post a bit

this is Miss Bailey giving that poor tree a serious beating, lol.

Thanks for letting me share :)
