"Crop Your Heart Out"

It's almost Valentines Day. And last year I got stuck doing layouts and projects after it was over. This year I am very excited that I am ahead of the game. And I have Scrapbook Daisies to thank for it all. That's right we are having a Valentine's Day Crop. And we want you to come and join us. Click here to join the fun. We have games and challenges to get you cropping away.

Here are two of the challenges that I created for...

"Take Heart": use hearts, polka dots, and embossing of any kind on a project.
I punched 1/2 inch circles and sprayed Heavy Metal Shimmerz on top to create a subtle polka dot background. I matted my alphas onto grey cardstock & then embossed them using my big shot.
There is a really funny story behind this layout. Would you like to hear it? Well, here it go.
Leslie Ashe and I were hanging out cropping at Scrappers Boutique about two weeks ago. And I used the Cricut expressions to cut a large heart that would be the base of my design. Well, the test heart was perfect and so I went to use the actual paper I needed for my design. And all of a sudden the cricut starts to tear my paper to shreads. I almost lost it. I had tears in my eyes and almost lost my religion, lol. I had a completely different design in mind. And that stupid machine ruined it :( Ah ok deep breathe. So a big fat thanks to my girl Leslie for calming me down and helping me to see the light with this design. I love you!!!

Here is the layout for challenge two

"I felt that": use felt on your project of any kind.
I used the felt Details in the American Crafts kit this month. They are devine.

And here are the rest of my Feb kit projects. To say I had such fun with this AC kit would be an understatement. I haven't had this much fun creating in months.

I have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to scrap this picture of me and my hunny and that my son Jeremiah took.

and my last one...

Ok ladies so we will see you in the message board. Click here to join us

I'm glad so many of ya'll are ahead of the Valentines games...I've never been one to do v-day stuff...they are picky at my son's school so I just don't bother....ALL of this rocks (you should submitted em for publication somewhere) and lucky you too for getting to hang with Leslie (only she shares my love/fascination with black cardstock LOL)...loved all that you did and hope to find time to blog hop tomorrow night.
