SD4U July Kit Reveal & Challenge sneak

Ok, for you ladies that aren't familiar with SD4U there is a lot that goes on over there. A lot in a good way. I mean first of the month challenges, and mid month challenges. And so many other great, and fun things to participate in and get your mojo going.

Each month there are three different kits available for your scrappy pleasure. I had the opportunity this month to work with GCD's "Homespun Collection". There is still time to get your kits and come play along.

Breaking the CHA barrier

Shimmerz has some EXCITING, AMAZING, JUMPING FOR JOY, kind of news... We have broken out and are going to be at the Chicago CHA show that runs from July 27-29th! This is the first time that Shimmerz has represented itself at CHA and we are doing it just like we do everything else.
Just a LITTLE bit differently.




We are thrilled to announce that we will be joining forces with the FABULOUS girls at Glitz Designs and will be sharing booth # 839 with them!
Glitz and Shimmerz are perfect product partners and we have some great make and takes using both products and some fun Shimmerz techniques.


Not only that but we will have a special CHA release as well. So be on the look out for our newest Shimmerz colors coming soon and perhaps a special sale as well...Who doesn't love a great promotion?


So if you are headed to CHA at the end of the month, make sure to highlight booth #839 (in pink highlighter, of course!) and check us out! We will be there with bells on!

Hey there ladies, It has been days since I've blogged. I sure did miss you all. I have been running like a mad women. I am getting adjusted to some new roles and responsibilites. I am totally excited about it all, it just has to become a part of my day to day task. You know how it goes.

I have been waiting for months to share this fun and exciting news. I received an email about 4 months ago requesting 4 of my projects for publication in Scrapbook Trends Magazine. And after months of patiently waiting here goes...

Hot off the Press_New My Little Shoebox

Their is some MAJOR buzz going on here at the warehouse... I'll give you a hint... it's colorful and full of MLS glory. Yep that can only mean that CHA is around the corner and we are showing off the new goods. Every other day for the next week and a half we will be showing off 1 of our new 6 lines.

You will notice some BIG changes to our lines we changed our overlays to new cardstock stickers, we added STAMPS, we added a 4th paper to the collection, changed our glitter alphas to lower case and changed the font, and changed our circle scallop to a SQUARE... PHEW that's a lot of awesome-ness!!!!

I wont keep you waiting here is the NEW Sunday Market...

100th follower and a little to share

This was a fast, fun lo. I havne't had the time to really enjoy this collection the way I'd like. So I hope to really sit down soon and get crafy with this. I totally love the fun elements of this line.





I can't believe it has been 2 years since I came upon this amazing craft. Since then I have had some awesome experiences. And have grown in ways I am so proud of.

And I can't believe I have 100 followers. Now I know to some that may not seem like alot but that is alot for me. I am honored and excited that each of you would choose to follow my blog. Big Announcement

Hey Ladies, today is a very exciting day for me. I am so excited, and honored to announce I am one of the newest members of the My Little Shoebox Design Team. The new team is being revealed today on the MLS blog so please stop by and check out all the gals and become a follower of their blogs and the MLS blog if you aren't already :)

Here are one of my layouts completed for the call. I am so excited I can't wait to create more yummy projects (jumping up and down!!!)

Shimmerz is so Delovely

Have you ever had an embellishment or a set of papers that you have held onto forever, and you keep saying to yourself "I am gonna use this one day"? Well, I have had these super cute felt flowers for over 2 years now. When I was asked to complete some pages for my local scrappy store "Scrappers Boutique" using the new Cosmo Cricket Delovely line I thought hey these flowers are perfect for this collection.

I spritz the white cardstock using "Razzle Dazzle Berry" Vibez and a few circles I cut using my die cut machine. I used the circles to create a circled background, and by only spraying my spritz once it created a very suble shadow. Which was perfect for my layout. Once all the paper layers, and embellishments were applied to my layout I used Blingz in "Pixie Dust" and brushed it onto various parts of each flower. I love the way it looks like sugar, and makes this layout that much sweeter.











I hope this inspires you to get out those old embellishments and let your Shimmerz products give them new life and meaning to your projects. Happy Scrapping ladies!!

My handsome boy

This is my goodlooking son Jeremiah. I had so much fun creating this boy layout. Now that Jeremiah is on summer break I have got to stock up on photos of him to scrap. I good friend edited this photos for me. Thanks a million!!

The products are from the May Studio Calico kit. And colors are inspired by Color Combos Galore.

The men of our home

Hello ladies, I am loving SamRock Pearlz. So much I have already finished my first pot. Refill please!! :)

On this project I sprayed Licorice on my white background paper, and on my yellow border of the house to help tone down the colors.
I used some white scraps and punched a border for the roof of the house and painted it with SamRock to give a fun, unique look. I distressed it a bit using "This Studs 4 U" Pearlz
I spiced up a white Prima flower using "Sunny Side Up" pearlz. After embellishing my layout I added some fun coats of SamRock to my American Craft Thickers, and my Dear Lizzy tree. I love the depth, and shine it created. I hope this inspires you to add some shine to an unusal embellishment using Pearlz.
