Shimmez Everywhere

Happy Tuesday Ladies,
today I would like to share a project with you loaded with Shimmerz.
My top flower was cut from my cricut cartridge & painted with Blue by you, Papa Purple, and Espresso Pearls. I used a paint brush and applied a generous amount of Paint to various spots of the flower. The colors blend beautifully together and once dried I gave the flower some dimension by lifting the petals and giving them a slight crumble.
The thin piece of chipboard, and embossed Petaloo flower petals were painted with Sunny Side up Pearls.

the flower to the right of the page is left white and the edges of the petals were painted with Hi Ho Silver Blingz. The leaves were cut from the Cricut embossed with my big shot and painted with Pixie Dust Pearls.

My background was sprayed with Jeni B Blue Vibez
This floral cluster was also cut from the cricut machine. Sprayed with Sunset Strip Vibez, and the edges painted with Hi Ho Silver Blingz make the shine amazing. And last but not least the fan punch was also sprayed in Sunset Strip Vibez.

Love my Shimmerz

Good day ladies, by now I am sure you've figured out I love the paint splatter technique. It adds instant interest and artistic quality to any project.

Here I splattered Blue By You Pearlz, Sunset Strip Vibez, & Licorice Spritz on the background of my kraft paper.

On this layout I sprayed Sunset Strip Vibez on the background, and RazzleDazzle Berry Vibez on the kraft envelope, along with a little Licorice Spritz. My Prima flower was enhanced with RazzleDazzle Berry Vibez as well. And the tree on this layout cut from my cricut machine (stretch your imagination cartridge) and painted with Peas B Mine Pearlz. The color is amazing on this tree.

OUT FOR PUBLICATION

Happy Scrapping ladies!!

Cramfest Home Ec Class

Good Afternoon, and welcome to Scrap U's home economics course. As many of us of know Home Ec can consist of many things, such as sewing, crafts, cooking, etc.
This year I would like us to focus on FASHION.
Each day we all make a conscience FASHION decision. Whether you consider yourself to be a fashionista or just a plain Jane, we all have a sense of personal style. Fashion is All about texture, colors, and freedom of expression. And in this year's Home Ec class we will focus on just that, our individual sense of style.

For example: My personal sense of style is modern eclectic, with a bit of vintage flair, and very clean lines. I am not afraid of color and have a very colorful wardrobe, I love to accessories, I have a lot of handbags, & shoes to accommodate them. This translates also into my Scrappy Style, I love to bright bold colors, mixing modern & vintage patterns, & I love to embellish.
In my layout I used tons of fabric (felt flowers, fabric leaves, lace border, canvas tag) to create lots of dimension and texture. I have a stitched border, pearls & a string of bling as my sparkle on this layout. The Prima flower centers, lace border, & kraft envelope add the perfect amount of vintage vibe to the layout.

Assignment:
Your assignment is to create a layout based on your own personal style. I want to see YOU reflected in this layout (this doesn't mean you have to scrap yourself). Are you edgy meets Audrey Hepburn's classic elegance, or are you contemporary/traditional like Mrs. Kelly Ripa?
Go for it ladies, let's see you work it!!
Guidelines:
- Stitching: faux, machine (any kind will do)
- Fabric (of any kind)
- bling/sparkle
All layouts for this challenge need to be newly created for this challenge. You need to upload them to the correct gallery folder by Sunday August 29nd at midnight PST. The gallery folder "Week 3-Taj's Class".
Any layouts not in the correct gallery by the due date will not be graded.

ScrapbookDeals4U August kit sneaks

Hey there girls I'm back again :) And this time with a fun sneak peek from the Scrapbook Deals 4 U August kit. I got to play with 72 & Sunny from We R Memory Keepers. And this kit will NOT disappoint. Here is my sneak

The full reveal happens the first of August and the first of the month challenges are happening the same time :)
See you on the first!!

Technique & product

Hi ladies, I apologize for being MIA. It's been crazy around here with finishing CHA projects, getting the reveals ready for the August SD4U kit, and projects for a technique class I am teaching at Scrappers Boutique.

I have talk to many of you and I get asked the same questions by most. How do you do that, and how did you put those patterns together? So every month I want to share one technique with you, & a set of products that coordinate. And I would like for you to give these techniques and product mixing a shot. And if you do I would love it if you emailed me (tajwhite25@yahoo.com) your work to drool over. I'd love to feature your awesomeness on the blog. If you have any questions, please email me or leave a comment and I will be sure to get back to you.

So here we go...

This is a pattern paper mixture of My Little Shoebox, & Girls Paperie. The colors shared in these two collections are the pink & green, and the hint of brown in the girls paperie line. So that said these two lines marry very well.

the technique her I want you to focus on is the punch work. I used the Martha Steward fan punch and cut it up to place on separate ends of the layout.

So go and start punching!!

BTW, you don't have to use the product I have shown in the photo that is to assist those ladies that want to mix and match and may already have these products, or intend to purchase them. Happy Scrapping!! I can't wait to see your lovely work!!
