I'm Green with Envy

Green with Envy has quickly become a personal favorite. The color is bright, bold, and the shimmer is amazing. The texture is thick and creamy.

For this project I started by stamping the background using bubble wrap and just one coat of Green with Envy. Which was perfect for my paper choice "Life's Portraits" since there isn't alot of yellow in the patterns.
I pretty much went Pearlz crazy on this layout. I painted my doily, I put a dollop of Pearlz in the center of my red flower, I distressed my edges of the paper, brushed a nice thick coat onto my flowers, and even daubed random paint patterns onto my alphabets using a small paint brush.

It's time ladies to whip out your paint/steeple brushes and daub away at something on your project using Shimmerz Pearlz. You'll love the effects
My design was inspired by a sketch from our very own Lady Grace Belarmino

Happy Scrapping!!!

When all else fails--- Paint with Shimmerz Pearlz

Over the past two weeks I have missed a Creative Scrappers reveal, the new Shimmerz Pearlz reveal, and a ton of other scrappy things. So what do you do when you have NO mojo, and no access to the online world? Well-- you-- DECORATE, LOL!!

I took my two weeks and cleaned my home, and decided to paint my guest bathroom. Jeremiah always gets on me for not taking before pictures. But I did get some after shots. And here they are...

we replaced the ugly builders mirror, painted and sponged the walls, put in all new fixtures, and lighting. Steven and I only had a few fights, NOT bad, LOL!!!

Now that I am back I do have some yummy Shimmery projects to share with you all. I will reveal them over the next few days.
But let's start with a super fun layout of Bailey and her tantrums...

Layout: How to throw a tantrum 101

Ok, so how many of you have this to deal with? This is everyday for me :(
But this is just a STAGE right??? Right???

And here is one of my Shimmerz Paints Pearlz projects. If you haven't been to the blog to check out the DT reveals and the new Pearlz colors then shame on you, lol.

Some stuff to share

I created this layout in around 20 minutes. I was so freaked out that it happened so quickly. It doesn't have any of my usual detail. But I love it nonetheless.

This is Bailey in December watching Jeremiah, and Madison play in the snow. Which we had alot of this past year in Texas. Bailey however, was terrified of it. I wanted so bad for her to just muster enough energy to go play, and enjoy herself.

as sad as she was, I got this picture and this layout out of the situation. :)

This one is of my friends cute kid Jayla. She just loves the camera, and the camera loves her. This was done months ago for SNA Magazine Jan/Feb issue.
Kitchen Spice by BoBunny was one of my favorite collections last year. And the Prima is perfect here.

This is Madison and her cute self hanging out by the tree on Easter Sunday. I love the mix of these colors.

Ladies, next week the 10th we will have some super cool reveals going on on Facebook for Shimmerz Paints. So stay tuned.

Quick and Fun

It's been a while since I have scrapped my baby boy. Who isn't much of a baby anymore. A girl came to my door the other day and ask if he could come out. I let him go out and he came back in about twenty minutes later. He says "she goes to my school", "we finally had a chance to just sit and talk".

WHAT??

What does he know about sitting and talking? Ladies, what do you do? Here's my layout...

I've got alot to share this week, so please do come back and let me know what you think. This was created using the April Studio Calico kit, Shimmerz Spritz in Licorice, and my trusty stash :)

Here's a sneak peek of tomorrows post...

See you soon!! Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Scrappin!

** SHE'S TWO **

Boy I tell you there is nothing worse than being without your trusty computer. Ok... maybe there is!!! I was able to get through it all with the help of my friend Myia and for most of the two weeks my cell phone. It did give me a chance to work on some projects. That I will share with you ladies in a few more days.

For now I have a few projects to share from the Jan/Feb issue of Scrap n Art Magazine.

But before we get into that let's talk about my baby girl Bailey. SHE IS TURNING TWO. I just can't seem to wrap my mind around that. She is totally entering her terrible two stage. She rolls her eyes, kisses her teeth (all of which she has inherited from her older sister, of course), stomps her feet, and cries when she doesn't get her way. And not to mention this look...

Exhibit *A*

So question?? Are you a bad mother if you forget your baby's birthday is a week away but remember to reserve your space for a crop? LOL!!!

If the weather permits we will take the children to the aquarium for a fun afternoon and come home for hamburgers and fries (with a little ice cream and cake)

Now onto some scrappy scrappy-ness!!!

This was created for the Scrap n Art Magazine Jan/Feb issue featuring Stamp Zia.

This was created using the color palette from the color room

This last one is of my niece Makenzie created For Shimmerz Paints and Petaloo.

Creative Scrappers Sketch #100

This is a very very special reveal and I am so happy to be apart of it all. There is a month long celebration going on at Creative Scrapper and a handful of prizes and giveaways. And did you see who our montly sponsor is this month? It's the NOOK --- My scrapbook Nook Kit club that is. So be sure to get on over and check out the new sketch, and it's reveal NOT to mention all the other amazing things going on this month.

I am without a computer, can you believe my computer fan was over heating and shutting itself off. OMG, I have been without a computer for almost an entire week and I feel like I am going to faint everytime I think about it. I am not able to participate in any challenges or share any additional projects. Because the only computer available (which is how I am making this post) is from my husbands work laptop. It does't have photo editing or the ability to hold the number of uploads I make a week. Not to mention that is NOT what they gave him the laptop for in the first place. So thank you to my hunny for allowing me to make this very important upload for the reveal of sketch 100. However, since this isn't my computer I am not able to upload the sketch like I ususally do with the layout. So you lovely ladies will have to get on over to the Creative Scrappers blog to check out the sketch for yourself. I totally apologize for the terrible photo ladies. Thanks for your understanding!!!
